Last Saturday my golf teammates and I had the privileged opportunity of visiting the prestigious TOUR Championship held at East Lake GC in Atlanta. The atmosphere was surreal for most of the time, especially when Tiger Woods was making birdies and the massive group following him cheered. We were able to get very close to the best golfers in the world and have a personal experience of what it would be like to perform on such a big stage. All this was courtesy of our golf coach at CSU, Mark Immelman, who also commentates for PGA Tour live and NBC Sports occasionally. Thank you!
As for the first tournament, the Cougar Invitational, it didn't go according to plan because there was a slight hiccup with the NCAA not understanding the Swiss school system and only clearing me for competition shortly after the first tee off time, which was too late to let me to participate. The positive is that I am now cleared and exempt for the next three tournaments coming up in the fall!
