Last week's tournament was held at Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in North Alabama on the beautiful Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed golf course. It was my first tournament representing Columbus State University. It was a slow start for me and I never really managed to get into gear with strong winds in the afternoon on the first day, on which we played 36 holes. On the second day cold weather and rain made scoring conditions more challenging. I shot a solid 73, 73, 74 for a T-19 finish but felt slightly disappointed. All-in-all it was a successful visit to Turtle Point for the team as all three of my scores contributed to the runner-up finish for CSU! I look forward to the tournament starting tomorrow at the prestigious Trump National Doral Country Club.
